The Sydneysiders Express is a mens' chorus of around forty members of all ages and from many occupations and professions, sharing the joy of singing in four part close harmony (barbershop style). Our songs range from traditional love songs and ballads, such as "Sweet Adeline" and "Down by the Old Mill Stream" through toe-tapping up-beat songs such as "McMamara's Band" and "I'm Sitting on Top of the World" to more modern songs such as "Yesterday" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water". We also sing a number of spiritual/sacred songs and, of course, Christmas carols and songs. The chorus actively supports the tireless research being carried out at the Oncology Unit at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, to which we make an annual donation from funds raised by performing at corporate functions, private parties, sporting clubs, community events and retirement villages. |
