Artist Description

A singer of intense passion and commitment, Susan Gai Dowling is a jazz performer who approaches every performance with the integrity of a true professional. With appearances at all of Sydney’s major venues from small intimate bars to major festivals, Susan is regarded as a true exponent of jazz singing. Recently Susan has been touring New Zealand to packed houses. This year (2008) she has been invited back for the third time in as many years to perform with her band at the New Zealand International Jazz Festival. Susan Gai’s two commercially released recordings (Rent Party and Where's Love Gone ) were commissioned by the ABC and received excellent reviews. Whatever the event from weddings to small cocktail parties Susan Gai is able to provide the music that will suit the occasion. She can perform with whatever lineup is required from duo with guitar or piano to a full 20 piece swing band. A PA system if required is included in the fee.
