KINDERJAZZ, created in 1997, is an acoustic feast of sound developed to give the next generation a taste of a real live jazz orchestra. So much of the children's market is synthesized. We are passionate about giving kids the best quality we can. The recipe of jazzy rhythms, acoustic instruments, the spontaneity and improvisation involved with jazz, and the sheer colourful timbre of seeing and hearing twelve wonderful jazz musicians in full flight has enthralled children, parents and grandparents. With three saxophones, two trumpets, trombone, piano, double bass, congas, drums and two singers, KINDERJAZZ is a world first giving children the experience of live music as has never been heard before. Children are deeply complicated and sensitive people. They should not have to meet the world in three minute sound bites. Performance highlights have included the Sydney Opera House, Darling Harbour Jazz Festival, Manly International Jazz Festival, Carols in the Domain, The Teddy Bears Picnic at Parramatta Stadium, Channel 7's live telecast during the Winter Olympic Games, Saturday Disney to name a few... KINDERJAZZ features George Wasingmachine and the cream of Australia's Jazz Musicians in dress ups! It's dynamically educational and children learn while having fun. KINDERJAZZ is available for live concerts, community festivals, television performances and educational workshops. |
